Spokesman of Iran’s Armed Forces Brigadier General Massoud Jazayeri says Israel’s Iron Dome missile shield cannot head off missiles fired by resistance forces in Gaza.

“The [Hamas] resistance [movement] has not brought a large part of its materiel to the war theater yet,” the Iranian commander said on Wednesday.

He added that if the Israeli regime continues war with the Palestinians, large numbers of Zionists will begin to flee the occupied territories en masse.

Referring to the importance of Gaza’s victory, Jazayeri said, “An outcome of this war is that occupiers have realized that they have no place in this [occupied] territory and they must leave Palestine to the Palestinians.”

Last week, the Israeli military launched a series of new air and sea attacks, dubbed “Operation Pillar of Cloud” against Gazans, prompting Palestinian resistance fighters to fire retaliatory rockets and missiles into Israel.

Israel’s Iron Dome missile shield has reportedly intercepted only 400 of over 1,400 rockets fired from Gaza at Israel over the past week.

At least five Israeli’s have been killed in the Palestinian response to the nonstop Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip. Some 45 Israelis, including 20 troopers, have been injured in the retaliatory attacks.

This is while over 151 Gazans, including women and children, have been killed and more than 1,200 others have been injured in over 1,450 Israeli attacks on the besieged Palestinian territory since November 14, 2012.

The Israeli military frequently carries out airstrikes and other attacks on the Gaza Strip, saying the actions are being conducted for defensive purposes. However, disproportionate force is always used, in violation of international law, and civilians are often killed or injured.
