“Iran will not sit at negotiations table with US”

Iran will not sit at the negotiations table with the United States as long as the Americans remain irrational, Government Spokesperson Mohammad Bagher Nobakht said on Tuesday.

“We will not sit with such people at all; as long as these people do not come to their senses, they are not worthy of being a partner in talks with us,” Nobakht stated.

Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in an interview with CNN in New York on Sunday said that U.S. President Donald Trump had violated the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) both in spirit and content.

“As the law envisions anything about the oil contracts, the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) too has assigned a special working group to monitor the JCPOA issue; it will follow any conclusion pertaining to the JCPOA violation,” he added.
