Iranian Army enjoys best defense status, official

Deputy Commander of Iranian Army’s Ground Forces said Saturday that the Army is now in the best defense and deterrent conditions.

According to IRNA, Brigadier General Kiumars Heidari made the remarks while talking to reporters on the sidelines of an army ceremony.
Heidari said the Army of the Islamic Republic possessing armaments and equipment made by Iranian experts, is well prepared to counter any threat.
He announced that different forces of the Iranian Army are planned to display their latest capabilities and achievements on September 22 that is the start of Sacred Defense Week commemorating sacrifices of the Iranian combatants during 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq war.
