Iranian Forces Neutralize 250 Terrorists in Southeast: IRGC Commander Reports
According to a senior commander, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has successfully apprehended 150 militants and eliminated an additional 100 in a series of counter-terrorism operations conducted since November in the southeastern province of Sistan and Balouchestan.

Brigadier General Mohammad Pakpour, the commander of the IRGC Ground Forces, revealed the numbers on Thursday at a memorial event honoring security personnel who lost their lives in an incident on April 6, 2024, in Rask, Sistan and Balouchestan.
In response to the attacks in Rask and Chabahar that occurred in April 2024, Pakpour announced, “The operations led to the elimination of 18 terrorists, all of whom were foreigners. These individuals had concealed their identities as local fuel smugglers and had hidden weapons inside fuel containers.”
According to statements obtained from apprehended collaborators, evidence supporting this account has been confirmed. Citizens are being urged to remain vigilant and take measures to prevent foreign nationals from disguising themselves as local residents.
Addressing a different incident in Goharkouh, he stated that subsequent to the attack, security operations led to the arrest of more than 150 militants and the elimination of 100.
He reported that the detainees confessed to receiving instructions from a fugitive originating from Rask, who had allied with anti-government forces overseas.
Pakpour urged residents to remain vigilant and not be swayed by individuals who could destabilize the region. He also cautioned against renting properties to unknown individuals who might threaten local security and progress.
He concluded his remarks by emphasizing the importance of supporting the families of security personnel who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
He emphasized the need for collective action in addressing the challenges faced by the families of martyrs, who have sacrificed loved ones for the nation’s security.
