Iranian Hajj Pilgrims’ Supervisor Responds to Saudi Arrest of Cleric
The official overseeing Iranian Hajj pilgrims and representing Wali al-Faqih in pilgrimage affairs has remarked on the detention of an Iranian cleric in Saudi Arabia.

On Tuesday, Hujjatul-Islam Seyed Abdul-Fatah Navab addressed a viral video featuring an Iranian cleric’s statements circulating online, expressing that the remarks in the video align with his personal viewpoints.
The supervisor overseeing Iranian Hajj pilgrims stated that the cleric featured in the video plays a significant role in programs associated with the Holy Quran, leading to elevated expectations regarding his conduct.
Hujjatul-Islam Navab expressed the expectation that Saudi authorities will permit the Iranian cleric to complete his Hajj rituals and return home. He emphasized that the comments made in the video were personal views and highlighted the cleric’s contributions to promoting Quranic culture.
Earlier on Tuesday, Iran’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Alireza Enayati, took to his X account to discuss matters related to the Hajj pilgrimage.
He highlighted that the pilgrims have journeyed to Mecca and Madinah seeking divine mercy and forgiveness.
The envoy commended Saudi authorities for their dedication in facilitating the Hajj pilgrimage, noting that pilgrims hold the holy sites in high esteem and strictly adhere to the regulations, ensuring that any inappropriate language or offensive behavior is not tolerated.
