Iranian Military Chief Promises Severe Retaliation Against US
Major General Amir Hatami, Commander of the Iranian Army, has issued a stern warning to the United States, indicating that it will face a decisive response following its recent assaults on Iran's nuclear facilities.
During a videoconference with senior Army commanders on Monday, Major General Hatami accused the United States government of committing illegal acts against Iran since the Islamic Revolution’s triumph in 1979.
He stated that the United States has consistently faced firm repercussions each time it has acted against Iran, promising that a strong retaliation will follow its latest assaults on the nation.
A military commander emphasized that recent successful operations conducted by the Iranian Armed Forces against Israeli forces have frustrated their adversaries. These actions prompted the Israeli side to seek assistance from the United States, which they consider chiefly accountable, and resulted in direct US involvement in the ongoing clashes with Iran.
On June 13, hostilities erupted as Israel pursued aggressive actions targeting Iran. Amid these tensions, the United States intervened by carrying out military strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities located in Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan early Sunday.
Iranian authorities have stated that Tehran maintains the prerogative to employ its own measures in response to the United States’ assaults.
