Iranian military enhanced its ground communication capabilities by equipping IRGC units with state-of-the-art tactical vehicles

In a significant move to bolster its military capabilities, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) held a development event on Monday, attended by the Corps’ Chief Commander, Major General Hossein Salami.
The advanced Khatam 270 and 450 vehicles have been developed to offer secure, encrypted, and interference-resistant communication capabilities for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ Ground Forces. These vehicles are engineered to operate effectively in various challenging environments, covering the rugged terrains of mountainous areas and enduring extreme weather conditions.
Amidst challenging conditions, the vehicles guarantee continuous and real-time command and control capabilities for the IRGC’s grassroots units, recognized as the foundation of Iran’s military operations.
According to defense officials, the vehicles have been presented as emblematic of a significant technological advancement for Iran’s Armed Forces. They also signify a strategic pivot towards bolstering the efficiency of smaller, more agile units functioning within decentralized combat settings.
The handover of vehicles to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) signifies the completion of an extensive period of research and operational testing. This initiative was conducted by experts from the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics, in partnership with the IRGC’s communications division.
