Israel root cause of insecurity in Mideast

A senior Iranian official says Israel’s measures are to blame for insecurity in the Middle East, criticizing the international community for remaining silent vis-a-vis the regime’s crimes.

The root cause of insecurity in our region is the acts committed by the illegitimate Zionist regime given the international community’s silence and under the aegis of certain countries claiming to be advocates of human rights, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the deputy foreign minister for Arab and African affairs, said in an interview with IRIB on Sunday.

The Iranian official condemned the burning to death of a Palestinian toddler by Israeli forces, saying it is one of millions of crimes committed by the Israeli regime over the past decades.

“The Zionist regime is an illegitimate regime which spreads state terrorism in the region and the world and is recognized as an infanticidal regime for its criminal acts,” he added.
