Iranian oil export up, despite sanctions

Iranian Oil Ministry Spokesman says that despite sanctions, Iran has faced no problem in selling its oil and gas.
Alireza Nikzad rejected claims that Iran has supplied oil in a price lower than the market price as false stories.

Nikzad told Mehr News Agency that contracts have been signed with Asian and European companies to extend the existing agreements. “Currently, Iran’s oil and gas production is in a desirable condition,” he added.

“Iran is currently the most secure supplier of crude oil in the world,” he asserted, saying that “Iran has not been influenced by Western policies in its oil exports.”

This official stressed that despite the ever-increasing pressure of sanctions by the West, Iran’s oil export has risen. “Now, by taking new measures, we have successfully managed export paths and markets,” he added.

He pointed to extension of contract with Korean Samsung Company to sell oil and gas fluids as examples of failure of Western sanctions.

“Islamic Republic of Iran has not supplied oil in a price lower than market prices and with discount to world oil companies,” he asserted.
