Iran’s Defense Minister visits Venezuela, urges mobilization of dormant potentials
Iran’s Defense Minister, Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh, has highlighted the importance of enhancing cooperative relations between Iran and Venezuela. He noted that there are numerous "inactive capacities" within the bilateral ties that need to be utilized effectively.

In a statement delivered during his arrival in Caracas on Wednesday, Nasirzadeh, leading a delegation, discussed key issues ahead of a joint commission meeting in the Venezuelan capital.
He further announced that his trip will involve numerous meetings attended by committees, including representatives from the private sector and knowledge-driven enterprises. The primary objective of these assemblies is to devise strategies to enhance economic collaboration.
Iran’s Defense Minister revealed plans for a series of meetings with senior Venezuelan officials, encompassing discussions with the nation’s Oil Minister alongside key engagements with the Ministers of Defense, Economy, and Finance of the Latin American country.
He stated that their objective is to explore and propose solutions for enhancing economic cooperation between the two nations, a priority consistently highlighted by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the president.
Iran’s Defense Minister is set to hold discussions with Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro during his trip to Caracas.
Nasirzadeh, leading the Iranian delegation of the Iran-Venezuela Joint Economic Cooperation Commission, departed Tehran for Caracas on Tuesday to engage in the 10th session of the commission. This meeting aims to enhance collaboration in strategic sectors, under the framework of the 20-year pact established between the two nations.
