Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi engaged in discussions with Lebanon’s Foreign Minister Youssef Raji during a brief visit to the country.
The Iranian Foreign Minister made his arrival at Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport early Tuesday, receiving an official reception from Lebanese officials.
During his initial addresses in Beirut, Araghchi emphasized support for Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, asserting that no nation should meddle in the country’s internal matters.
Iran has pledged its backing to Lebanon in its opposition to what it terms the Zionist regime’s occupation. The official emphasized that this support signifies the solidarity of a friendly nation with its allies in Lebanon, clarifying that it should not be interpreted as interference in the country’s internal matters.
According to statements made by the leader, the relationship between Iran and Lebanon is reportedly very strong. The Lebanese people have consistently supported Iran through challenging circumstances.
