Iran’s Hajj mission organizes gathering of Sunni pilgrims in Medina

The annual Muslim pilgrimage of Hajj is a reflection of ethnical and racial diversity.
Millions of Muslims gather in Saudi Arabia every year to carry out the same rites in unison. They all have one purpose regardless of nationality, race, language, and social class. Therefore, the annual pilgrimage can provide Muslims with a good opportunity to bridge their differences. That’s what Sunni pilgrims attending a forum organized by Iran’s Hajj mission in Medina have emphasized. The idea of unity is central to Islam. And the hajj is designed to strengthen the spirit of brotherhood among Muslims. Can Muslims be hopeful that one day they will enjoy unity as they are practicing it now during the hajj? Only time will tell.
