Iran’s Military Counters ‘Israeli’ and US Aggression with ‘Full Might’: Senior Commander Declares
Iran's senior military leader has declared that the Islamic Republic's Armed Forces responded to the aggression from Israel and the United States with their complete spectrum of capabilities and military strength during the assaults carried out by Tel Aviv and Washington last month.
Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, the chief of staff of the Armed Forces, delivered his remarks in a phone discussion with Qatar’s Defense Minister Khalid bin Mohammad Al Attiyah on Tuesday.
Iran’s Armed Forces have effectively countered perceived intimidation, employing their full range of capabilities to respond robustly to aggressors, the commander stated.
On June 13, Israel launched a series of airstrikes targeting Iran, receiving substantial military and intelligence backing from the United States in a move of unprecedented collaboration.

Soon after, they initiated swift and decisive counteroffensives, executing precision strikes on vital nuclear, military, and industrial sites located deep within the occupied Palestinian territories.
The operation, dubbed True Promise III, unleashed a formidable response, deploying hundreds of ballistic missiles, including several multi-warhead and supersonic types, alongside a fleet of armed drones.
The strikes targeted central Tel Aviv, the core of the area’s economic activities; Haifa, which is a significant deep-water port; and Be’er Sheva, a central point of modern development and technology in the region.
Under mounting pressure from retaliatory actions, the regime was compelled to pursue a ceasefire after 12 days, even with some of the United States’ most advanced missile defense systems ready to counter incoming Iranian attacks.
The commander also addressed a ballistic missile strike conducted by Iranian forces targeting al-Udeid, the United States’ key regional airbase situated in Qatar. This action was in retaliation for American assaults on Iranian nuclear facilities, which occurred near the conclusion of the Israeli conflict.
Mousavi highlighted the extent of U.S. support for the regime during the warfare, emphasizing the comprehensive assistance provided, which included unreserved backing in logistical operations.
He emphasized that, despite the aggression, the world’s Muslim nations, governments, and free-thinking individuals expressed unwavering support for the Islamic Republic.
The official emphasized that the chain of events, marked by aggression and subsequent reactions, demonstrated the Islamic Republic’s “rightfulness” to a global audience. Furthermore, it highlighted that neither the United States nor the Zionist regime adhered to international principles or norms.
In a recent statement, praise was directed towards Qatar, describing it as a “friendly state” and acknowledging its decisive condemnation of Israeli actions. Gratitude was expressed for Doha’s “valuable” stance throughout the duration of the military conflict.
The commander also praised the emirate for its backing of the Palestinian people’s struggle against the Israeli occupation and aggression.
A Qatari official emphasized that Qatar strongly condemned the Israeli aggression from the very beginning, firmly rejecting the use of its airspace for any offensive actions against the Islamic Republic.
He also expressed his condolences to Mousavi on the martyrdom of Mousavi’s predecessor, Major General Mohammad Baqeri, amid the Israeli attacks.
