Iran’s Oil Minister in Baku for official visit

IRI Oil Minister Massoud Mir-Kazemi arrived in Baku on Wednesday to pay an official visit to Azerbaijan and meet with top Azeri officials.

Mir-Kazemi aims at negotiating for a long-term agreement on gas exports.

The Iranian Oil Minister is also due to confer with Azeri President Ilham Aliyev and Energy Minister as well as head of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR).

Last year, Iran and Azerbaijan inked and implemented a short-term agreement on gas exports according to which one million cubic meters of gas were transferred between the two countries.
