Iraqi Prime Minister asserts that developments in Syria are closely linked to the situations unfolding in Gaza and Lebanon

Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al Sudani has stated that the developments unfolding in Syria are intrinsically linked to the situations occurring in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.

During a meeting in Baghdad on Friday, Sudanese officials engaged in discussions with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, focusing on the most recent regional developments, with a particular emphasis on the situation in Syria.

He stated that the developments in Syria are intrinsically linked to those occurring in Gaza and Lebanon, posing significant threats to the region’s security and stability.

In a statement issued by the Media Office of the Iraqi Prime Minister, Prime Minister Sudani reaffirmed Baghdad’s unwavering stance on Syria, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the country’s unity, security, and stability.

He emphasized the critical need to uphold Syria’s territorial integrity, asserting that Iran will persist in its dedicated diplomatic initiatives to mitigate the Syrian crisis, especially in light of its impact on Iraq’s security situation.

In recent days, Araghchi has embarked on a diplomatic tour to pivotal regional nations, notably Syria, Turkey, and Iraq, to discuss and examine the latest developments in the region, with a particular focus on the ongoing situation in Syria.
