Iraqi Prime Minister Emphasizes Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei’s Optimistic Regional Outlook

Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al Sudani emphasized the optimistic perspective of Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, on regional matters, underscoring the importance of cultivating robust ties among neighboring nations.

During his visit to Mashhad in northeastern Iran, Al Sudani paid a visit to the revered shrine of Imam Reza (AS) on Wednesday evening.

During his visit, Al Sudani conveyed his appreciation for the generous hospitality offered by both the Iranian government and Astan Quds Razavi.

He announced that his visit, prompted by an invitation from Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian, involved dialogue on a range of regional matters.

Al Sudani announced that they had the chance to hold discussions with the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, who expressed an optimistic outlook towards regional nations.

He also conveyed optimism that the discussions and religious pilgrimage during the holy month of Rajab would yield favorable results for both countries, fostering collaboration and reinforcing the relationship between Iran and Iraq.

In highlighting the privilege of serving pilgrims visiting revered sites in Iraq, Al Sudani recognized the significant contributions of Astan Quds Razavi. He praised the organization’s efforts, likening their extensive range of services to the operations typically managed at a ministerial level.

He expressed gratitude for the essential services provided, stating, “We maintain consistent communication with officials of Iraq’s revered holy sites, engaging in discussions to enhance services for pilgrims.”
