Many foreign and foreign-backed terrorists killed in Syrian city of Aleppo

The Syrian Army says its forces have killed dozens of foreign-backed insurgents in the northern city of Aleppo after fresh clashes broke out between troops and the armed groups.

The Army said that the “terrorists” were killed in Sunday clashes in the areas of al-Bab, Maysaloun, al-Safa, al-Shaar and al-Arqoub.

The Army also said that Syrian troops freed 30 people who had been “kidnapped by the armed terrorist groups” in Maysaloun neighborhood of the flashpoint city on Sunday.

An Army unit also destroyed three trucks used by terrorists on a road in al-Bab neighborhood.

Meanwhile, an armed terrorist group targeted a house for civilians with two mortar shells and destroyed it in al-Suliemaniya area.

Elsewhere in the central province of Homs, four people lost their lives in a bus explosion. Authorities say insurgents planted two explosive devices on the bus that went off as it was on its way to a neighboring province.

Syria has been experiencing unrest since March 2011.

The Syrian government says that the chaos is being orchestrated from outside the country, and there are reports that a very large number of the armed militants are foreign nationals.
