IRGC General Announces Strategic Plans for F22 and F35 Fighter Jets
The Commander of the IRGC Aerospace Forces' Air Defense Unit has stated that Iran's air defense systems have the capability to counter threats posed by F-22 and F-35 fighter jets.

In a recent broadcast on Iran’s national television, General Alireza Shaykhian, Commander of the Air Defense Unit of the IRGC Aerospace Force, addressed the military exercises conducted nationwide by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Army. General Shaykhian stated that although it is challenging to detect advanced aircraft such as the F-22 and F-35 fighters, Iran has successfully developed its own air defense systems designed to counter these sophisticated warplanes.
General Shaykhian has announced intentions involving the F-22 and F-35 fighter jets.
Following the successful deployment of the Dey-9 air defense system during the nation’s joint air defense exercise, code-named “Power,” a substantial number of these systems are set to be integrated into the national defense network, he announced.
In a joint air defense exercise, the operational effectiveness of this system, alongside Dezful and the 3rd of Khordad systems, demonstrated that the allegations by Zionist entities regarding the degradation of Iran’s defense capabilities were unfounded, a high-ranking IRGC general stated.
The Iranian military has recently conducted the 19th edition of the “Payambar-e Azam” (The Great Prophet) exercises, marking a key phase in the nation’s annual Power Drills program.
