UNSC extends UNDOF mission in Syrian Golan

The UN Security Council renewed on Thursday the mission of the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) in the Syrian Golan for six months.

Reuters news agency said the resolution was unanimously adopted and stressed the need for enhancing the protection of the UN mission.

UNDOF personnel were repeatedly attacked by the armed terrorist groups which led Austria to announce withdrawal of its UNDOF forces.
