IRGC Official: US Possible Attack on Syria Paves Way for Israel’s Destruction

“The horrible attempts by the Americans have paved the way for turning the threat into an opportunity for the Islamic Ummah to blow a heavy strike on the occupying regime of Israel which has committed all these crimes in the region,” Haji Sadeqi said.

He said that the US attack on Syria will be a stupid and dangerous move, because the Syrians have shown resistance for more than two years without bowing to pressures.

The Lebanese Hezbollah has stated that if the US launches a military strike against Syria, it will attack the American forces and the Zionist regime, he reminded.

“What is important here is that the European and some other western countries have announced their rejection of a US-led military attack by saying that they do not accept Washington’s attempt anymore,” Haji Sadeqi said.

He further lamented the support given by few Muslim states to the US, and said, “These Arab countries regard Islamic awakening and popular uprising as a move against their rule and know that the Syrian people’s victory will shake the pillars of their tyrannical leadership.”

Earlier this week, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei warned of the dire consequences of any military intervention in Syria for the region, and said the US will certainly be severely harmed by pursuing warmongering policies against the Muslim country.
“The US threats and possible intervention in Syria is a disaster for the region and if such an act is done, certainly, the Americans will sustain damage like when they interfered in Iraq and Afghanistan,” Ayatollah Khamenei said in a meeting with members of the new Iranian cabinet in Tehran on Wednesday.

He cautioned the US and its allies that their military intervention in Syria would yield no result but blazing fire and increasing nations’ hatred from them.

Ayatollah Khamenei warned the US and its allies that “starting this fire will be like a spark in a large store of gunpowder, with unclear and unspecified outcomes and consequences”.

The US and its allies have accused the Syrian government of using chemical weapons against its own people near the capital, Damascus, but Syria has vehemently ruled out any involvement in the attack, saying it was a false flag operation by the foreign-backed militants fighting against the Syrian army.
