IRGC Senior Official Confirms Strike on Over 150 Occupied Targets in Operation True Promise III

"A significant setback with potential for recurrence."

Brigadier General Vahidi, previously serving as Interior Minister in the Ebrahim Raeisi administration, announced that the targets were effectively hit in several phases.

An official has listed several targets, including the Nevatim Airbase and the Ovda Airbase, situated in the north-central and far southern regions of the occupied territories.

He noted that these bases were home to command and control operations as well as electronic warfare centers, and were among the locations from which aggression against Iran had been initiated.

Vahidi has been identified as another significant target related to the regime’s Tel Nof Airbase, situated near the city of Tel Aviv.

The IRGC commander reported that the regime’s Ministry of Military Affairs and its military-industrial centers were also targeted during the Islamic Republic’s retaliatory actions.

A Significant Setback That Could Recur

Vahidi stated that the operation delivered a “significant setback” to the Zionist regime, showcasing a “strong display of power,” and underscored the potential for similar actions to be executed again.

The counteraction was intended “to convey to them the understanding that they have miscalculated and committed a significant mistake.”

Israeli offensives have targeted multiple cities throughout Iran, including the capital, Tehran, with a series of precision strikes intended to carry out assassinations. These operations resulted in the death of Major General Hossein Salami, the former commander-in-chief of the IRGC.

The casualties included high-ranking military figures from Iran: Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces; Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, leader of the IRGC’s aerospace division; and Major General Gholam-Ali Rashid, commander of the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters.

The assaults also resulted in the deaths of distinguished nuclear scientists Mohammad-Mehdi Tehranchi, Fereydoun Abbasi, and Dr. Abdol-Hamid Minoucher, in addition to over 70 civilians, including women and children.

In the wake of the aggression, Vahidi stated that the Israeli authorities were under the impression that they had effectively “destroyed” various military infrastructure facilities in Iran, thereby incapacitating the Islamic Republic’s ability to mount a response.

He emphasized that Israel’s actions constituted a significant “miscalculation,” cautioning that they should be prepared for repercussions that are just commencing.
