IRI, Venezuela ink 3 MoUs


The Islamic Republic of Iran and Venezuela signed three memoranda of understanding in the fields of oil, trade and medical products to further expand Tehran-Caracas relations.

At the end of two-day official visit of Venezuelan President, Hugo Chavez to Iran, the two countries’ ministers of Health, Oil and Commerce finalized the deals in the holy city of Mashad in northeastern Iran with President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in attendance.

Under the health agreement which was inked by Iran’s Health Minister Marziyeh Vahid Dastjerdi and his Venezuelan counterpart, the two countries will cooperate to produce medicine and medical equipment.

Oil ministers of the two sides, Mirkazemi and Ramirez agreed upon oil swap, and commerce ministers clinched the trade deal.
