The Syrian army struck a heavy blow at the ISIL Takfiri militants in the Northeastern Hasaka province on Saturday.

The army targeted hideouts of ISIL terrorists in the Southeastern side of Ghweiran neighborhood in Hasaka city, informed source said.

A large group of the terrorists were killed and an arms and ammunition depot was destroyed in the operations, said the sources, noting that some terrorists managed to flee towards al-Villat al-Homr neighborhood.

In the same context, the army troops in al-Villat al-Homr killed at least 15 terrorists, destroyed their arms and ammunition and continued hunting down fleeing terrorists in the neighborhood.

The ISIL Takfiri terrorists currently control shrinking swathes of Syria and Iraq. They have threatened all communities, including Shiites, Sunnis, Kurds, Christians, Ezadi Kurds and others, as they continue their atrocities in Iraq.

Senior Iraqi officials have blamed Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and some Persian Gulf Arab states for the growing terrorism in their country.

The ISIL has links with Saudi intelligence and is believed to be indirectly supported by the Israeli regime.
