Ayatollah Sayyed Sa’idi: This year, Arba’in is an exercise against Takfirism

Ayatollah Sayyed Mohammad Sa’idi, explained this weeks’ current events to the believers gathered at the Holy Shrine of Lady Fatimah al-Ma’sumah. He discussed the role students have in the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Saudis oil treachery and the commemoration of Arba’in.

On the occasion of Students’ Day, which commemorates the anniversary of the murder of three students of University of Tehran on December 7, 1953 by the police of the oppressive Pahlavi regime, Hujjat al-Islam Sa’idi stated that the training of university students is important because they are “the future leaders of this country.” For this reason, they are expected to be steadfast and loyal supporters of the Islamic Revolution and the Islamic system of governance.

His Eminence stressed that the production of knowledge to increase but warned that this is not possible without the strengthening of Islamic beliefs and the promotion of hard work in the academic arena and following the system of guardianship in the political arena.

The trustee of the Holy Shrine of Lady Fatimah al-Ma’sumah pointed the speech of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution (Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei) where he warned against an economy which is based mostly on oil revenues. Hujjat al-Islam Sa’idi stated that the actions of Saudi Arabia in slashing the price of oil amounts to treachery.

In October, Ayatollah Khamenei stated that running the country on oil revenue leaves Iran’s economy at the mercy of major “policymakers in the world” who can take Iran’s economy under their influence.

“Unfortunately, the Supreme Leader’s guidance has not been properly practiced,” Hujjat al-Islam Sa’idi stated. “By basing our economy on oil revenues, we have to pander to the arrogant and criminal American government which has inflicted great blows on OPEC member countries.”

Hujjat al-Islam Sa’idi stated that we are witnessing the renewed treachery of the Saudi regime with their recent actions. Due to what the United States did to Saddam, the Saudis know how far the United States is willing to go. The Americans abandoned Saddam after he outlived his usefulness. They will do the same to the Saudis as they did to Saddam after a while and the Saudis will certainly regret their actions. The Saudis have been taking advantage of the American favouritism of their regime to actively work to prevent the spread of pure Muhammadan Islam and spread their false version of Islam.

At the end of his sermon, Hujjat al-Islam Sa’idi spoke about the arrival of Arba’in – the commemoration which marks fortieth day after the martyrdom of Imam Husayn. Pilgrimage to the holy shrine of Imam Husayn is not just ceremonial, but rather it is to gain awareness of Imam Husayn, love for the Infallible Family of the Prophet Muhammad and the cries against faith. “This year, Arba’in is an exercise against Takfirism,” His Eminence stated.
