Israeli strikes kill at least 42 Palestinians in Gaza, Including Multiple Aid Seekers
Israeli airstrikes have reportedly resulted in the deaths of at least 42 Palestinians in Gaza since early Saturday. Hospital sources within the embattled region have identified many of the victims as individuals seeking humanitarian assistance.

The assaults have been reported throughout the Gaza Strip, spanning from Gaza City in the north to the vicinity of Rafah in the south.
Medical sources at Nasser Hospital reported to the media that nine Palestinians, among them three children, were killed by Israeli forces in the vicinity of an aid center north of Rafah.
A medical source at al-Ahli Hospital has reported that an Israeli assault on the Zeitoun neighborhood in Gaza City resulted in the death of one Palestinian and left several others injured.
Israeli shelling targeted displaced persons’ tents in the al-Mawasi area, located west of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of at least six people and leaving more than 10 others injured, as reported by the Nasser Medical Complex.
Al-Mawasi has been classified as a “humanitarian zone” by Israeli authorities.
Israeli forces launched an attack on the al-Shafi School in Gaza City’s Zeitoun neighborhood, resulting in the deaths of at least five individuals and leaving several others injured.
In a recent military action, Israeli fighter jets conducted an airstrike on a residential structure within the Bureij refugee camp located in central Gaza. The strike resulted in the deaths of two individuals.
Al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat, located in central Gaza, reported that four individuals lost their lives following an Israeli army strike on an aid distribution location along Salah al-Din Street, south of Wadi Gaza.
The Gaza Civil Defense announced the rescue of 11 injured individuals, including children, following an air strike on a residence of the al-Zinati family near the Gifted School in Sheikh Radwan, located in the northwest of Gaza City.
According to figures released by Gaza’s Health Ministry, the ongoing conflict in Gaza has resulted in at least 57,268 fatalities and has left 135,625 individuals injured since hostilities commenced on October 7, 2023.
The United Nations human rights office reported that it documented a minimum of 613 Palestinian deaths by June 27. These incidents occurred both at contentious aid locations managed by the Israeli and U.S.-supported Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) and in proximity to humanitarian convoys.
According to the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), 509 of the 613 reported fatalities occurred in the vicinity of GHF distribution points. Meanwhile, the Gaza Health Ministry has reported a death toll surpassing 650, with injuries exceeding 4,000.
The GHF initiated the distribution of limited food packages in Gaza at the conclusion of May, implementing a novel delivery model criticized by the UN for lacking impartiality and neutrality. This comes amid ongoing violence near the organization’s locations, with rights groups condemning these areas as “human slaughterhouses.”
