Deputy Commander of Kata’ib Imam Ali Brigades Martyred in Tikrit Clashes

According to AhlulBayt News Agancy – ABNA: Kata’ib Imam Ali Brigades announced the martyrdom of one of its commanders in the operation to liberate Tikrit.

According to the statement that was released by Kata’ib Imam Ali Brigade, “Seyed Ali Mousavi,” was martyred in the city of Tikrit, in Salahuddin province, while he was fighting against ISIS terrorists.

Kata’ib Imam Ali (the Imam Ali Battalion) is a resistance force that was formed as part of the wider Shia and Sunni mobilization against ISIS insurgency in Iraq in 2014.

The group’s leader is Shabal al-Zaidi, who was a one-time commander in Muqtada al-Sadr’s Mahdi Army.
