Labor minister: Iran ready to help reconstruct Syria

Iranian Labor Minister Ali Rabiee underlined Tehran’s preparedness to contribute help and assistance to the reconstruction of Syria.

“Iranian companies enjoy proper capabilities for participating in Syria’s reconstruction,” Rabiee said in a meeting with his Syrian counterpart Hassan Hejazi on the sidelines of the International Labor Organization (ILO) meeting in Geneva.
According to Fars News Agency, the Iranian labor minister said that the Iranian nation and government will always be beside Syria, standing firm on the side of its people.
On Thursday, Syrian Prime Minister Wael Al-Halqi called for the partnership of Iran’s private sector in the reconstruction of his country.
“The Iranian companies are Syria’s main partners in reconstruction of our country,” the Syrian prime minister said in a meeting with Iranian parliamentary delegation in Damascus.
Syria has been gripped by foreign-backed militancy that has reportedly killed over 160,000 people since it erupted in March 2011.
