PCHR: Stop Collective Punishment Policy against fishermen in Gaza

The Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR) condemned the Israeli navy attacks against Palestinian fishermen in the Gaza Sea.

In a statement issued on May 16, PCHR called upon the international community to protect Palestinian fishermen and their right to sail and fish freely in Gaza Sea and stop all forms of collective punishment against the Palestinian fishermen and their property which constitute a violation of the international humanitarian law and the international human rights law.

The PCHR’s statement listed some of the recent Israeli navy attacks on Palestinian fishermen mainly the kidnapping of 10 fishermen two days ago as well as confiscating boats and firing others.
