Leader of Islamic Ummah Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei Wants US Out of Persian Gulf

Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei blasted the US for trying to make the Persian Gulf insecure, warning that insecurity in the waterway poses a stability and security threat to all the regional states.

“The US is not seeking the security in the Persian Gulf and it is not qualified to comment in this regard,” the Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei said, addressing a group of officials, Muslim countries’ ambassadors and Iranians from different walks of life in a meeting in Tehran on Saturday marking the anniversary of the appointment of Islam’s Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) to his divine mission.

The Supreme Leader reiterated that the Persian Gulf’s security will benefit all, and warned, “If the Persian Gulf becomes insecure, it will be insecure for all the regional countries.”

Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei referred to the US allegations about its efforts for the security of the Persian Gulf as another false claim, and said, “The security of the Persian Gulf is related to the regional countries that share common interests and not the US; hence the security of the Persian Gulf should be maintained by the countries of this very region.”

Last month, Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei called on the Muslim nations to narrow down their differences through dialogue, and warned that disputes among the countries of the region will only benefit the enemies, particularly Washington and Tel Aviv.

Speaking in a meeting with Turkish President in the Iranian capital, Tehran, on April 7 Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei said the US and the Israeli regime are most satisfied with the developments in the region and do not want an end to the scourge of the ISIL Takfiri group.

The Supreme Leader also stressed that the regional countries will not benefit from trusting the West and the US, adding that everyone can clearly see the outcome of the measures taken by the West in the region which have proved to be detrimental to the region and Islam.

In October, Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei stressed that strengthening unity among the Muslim states is the prioritized policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

“Islamic unity which is the basic motto of the Islamic Republic means that the Islamic Ummah shouldn’t practice hostility towards each other, but should support each other in (dealing with) important global issues,” Ayatollah Khamenei said in a meeting with Iranian Hajj officials in Tehran.

The Supreme Leader described unity and brotherhood among Muslims as one of the pillars of Islam, and emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran would never compromise this issue.

Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei cautioned that enemies have attempted to block Iran’s policy of strengthening Muslim unity through efforts to “build a wall between Iran and the Muslim world”, and said all people are responsible for destroying this wall and Hajj rituals are the best opportunity to this end.

Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei also referred to the enemies’ propaganda and lies about Shiism as another method used for separating Iran from the Muslim world, and said writing books is not enough to remove these ambiguities and the minds of people who have been influenced by such lies and propaganda should be changed by the help of different communication methods.
