Egyptian General: Israel behind Tehran bombing

US State Department spokesman Mark Toner denied “any charges of U.S. involvement” in the assassination of nuclear physics professor Masoud Alimuhammadi, IRIB reported Wednesday.

A U.S. intelligence official said the CIA played no role in the bombing death, but Israeli officials remained silence about accusations of Mossad’s involvement.

While the US officials try to shrug off accusations, a US-affiliated monarchist group claimed responsibility for the bombing.

Meanwhile Egyptian military expert General Safwat al-Zayat, in an interview with the al-Jazeera TV asserted that the Zionist regime had a hand in the assassination.
