Lebanese Army Arrests Foreign Terrorist Involved in the Murder of a Lebanese Soldier

The man responsible for beheading the captured Lebanese soldier, Mohammad Haniyah, in the ‘Arsal District of the Beqa’a Governorate has been arrested after evading Lebanese intelligence officers for over a year.

The culprit was trying to leave Lebanon with a fake passport; this suspicious activity led the Lebanese Army intelligence to arrest the Syrian terrorist – Ali Ahmad Lakkis (aka “Abu Aisha”) on Friday morning.

According to a Lebanese security official, the aforementioned terrorist was a notorious member of the Syrian Al-Qaeda group “Jabhat Al-Nusra” – he participated in the battle for the Qalamoun Mountains in late 2013 and the battle for ‘Arsal in the summer of 2014 against the Lebanese Army.
