Lebanese Army Command Underlines Freedom of Expression and Movement

The Lebanese Army Command on Friday issued a statement in which it warned against the consequences of the offensive acts carried out by the protesters on roads.

“Recently, some abusive and illegal practices were repeated by some protesters towards citizens and military personnel during their movements.”

“The army command warns against continuing to resort to these practices and encroaching on public and personal liberties.”

“As the Command underlines that freedom of expression and demonstration is protected by the Constitution, the command calls for respect for freedom of movement and the cessation of such practices.”
