Lebanese Army Heavily Deploys on Outskirts of Ras Baalbek

The Lebanese Army carried out an operation at dawn on the outskirts of Ras Baalbek and Arsal using rocket artillery, heavy and medium weapons to protect its posts near the border and reduce infiltration operations by militant groups.

Lebanese ArmyAl-Manar correspondent in the Bekaa Valley said that after the army covered the area with shelling, reconnaissance aircrafts and helicopters flies an army force advanced towards Jarash hill in Ras Baalbek. The army managed to establish an observation point and a leading position in the face of Takfiri groups’ positions.

This came as the army fully cleared Jarash hill after defeating extremist groups, a number of improvised explosive devices prepared for bombing were found and the army dismantled it.
