Iranian Speaker, Hezbollah Chief Confer on Regional Situation

Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani and Hezbollah Secretary General Seyed Hassan Nasrallah in a meeting in Beirut reviewed the latest developments in the region as well as the Lebanese resistance group’s campaign against terrorism.
During the meeting on Monday night, Larijani and Nasrallah exchanged viewpoints on major regional developments, specially in Lebanon region.

Iran and Hezbollah’s roles in the campaign against the ISIL terrorist grouplet was also discussed in details during the meeting.

Also the political-parliamentary delegation accompanying Larijani and Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Mohammad Fathali were present in the meeting.

Larijani is on a regional tour of Syria, Lebanon and Iraq. He arrived in Beirut on Sunday night to confer on the latest developments in the region following a daylong trip to Syria where he met with senior Damascus officials, including the president, parliament speaker and prime minister.

On Monday, Larijani met Lebanese Prime Minister Tamam Salam and other officials in Beirut and discussed bilateral ties and regional developments. He left Lebanon for Iraq late Monday.

Iran and Lebanon enjoy cordial relations and have further expanded these ties in recent years. The two sides have exchanged several delegations of high-ranking officials in the last three years.
