Lebanon Army vows to pursue Iran missions blasts

Lebanese Army Commander General Jean Kahwagi says his country will spare no effort in prosecuting those responsible for the recent bomb attacks against the Iranian Embassy and an Iranian cultural center in Beirut.

According to Press TV, in a meeting with Iran Ambassador to Beirut Ghazanfar Roknabadi on Saturday, the Lebanese army commander said he has asked relevant Lebanese Army officials to cooperate closely with the Iranian Embassy in Beirut in order to ensure the security of the Iranian sites in Lebanon.
He also stressed the Lebanese Army’s resolve to identify and prosecute terrorist elements in the country, calling for punitive measures against those who lure and recruit young people into committing acts of violence and death.
Roknabadi, for his part, praised the Lebanese armed forces for their efforts regarding the protection of the Iranian institutions in the country as well as the identification and prosecution of those responsible for the recent terrorist attacks in Lebanon, particularly the members of the al-Qaeda-linked Abdullah Azzam Brigades.
