Diplomat Stresses Islamic Revolution’s Growing Influence

A senior Iranian diplomat underlined Iran’s inspiring role in the region, and stressed that the Islamic Revolution’s influence is growing in Muslim states.

“The immense influence of the Islamic Revolution beyond Iran’s borders can be seen in behavior patterns of Muslim countries, as well as the justice-seeking mottos, and rejection of any foreign intervention,” Tehran’s Ambassador to Paris Ali Ahani said.

He told the Islamic republic news agency that demands and slogans of the Islamic Awakening are very similar to the mottos of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

In relevant remarks on Wednesday, The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Opressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei had also described the Islamic Revolution as a source of inspiration for the revolutions and popular uprisings which have swept the Middle-East and North Africa.

Addressing Iranian Air Force personnel here in Tehran, The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Opressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei said that Iran does not claim that the Islamic Awakening in the region has been initiated by Iran, but, no one can neglect the fact that the waves of Islamic Awakening have been inspired by the victory of Islamic Revolution.

The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Opressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei underlined that the latest developments in the region and the Islamic Awakening proved that the Iranian nation is moving in the right path and that the Islamic Revolution has flourished and is dynamically moving forward towards its goals 33 years after its victory.

The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Opressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei added that slogans of the Iranian nation have prevailed over the region and the nations following global arrogance have now stood by Iran pursuing the same goals.

The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Opressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei further said that the message of the Islamic Revolution is the message of morality, divine values and salvation from the current miserable state of life in the West.

Since the beginning of 2011, the Muslim world has witnessed popular uprisings and revolutions similar to what happened in Iran in 1979.

Tunisia saw the overthrow of Zine El Abidine Ben Ali in a popular revolution in January, which was soon followed by a revolution which toppled Hosni Mubarak in Egypt in February.

Libya was the third country touched by the Islamic Awakening. Libyans also embraced victory after months of bloody campaign against the country’s dictator, Muammar al-Qaddafi.

Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Yemen have since been the scene of protests against their totalitarian rulers, who have resorted to brutal crackdown on demonstrations to silence their critics.
