Large number of civilians prepare to leave besieged east Aleppo: photos

The news of several militants surrendering to the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in the eastern neighborhoods of Aleppo City on Saturday has paved the way for thousands of beleaguered civilians to make their way to safety after more than 4 years of war.

Photos were released by local activists in Aleppo City on Saturday, showing a large number of civilians preparing to leave the eastern neighborhoods for the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) controlled districts in the west.

These civilians were also assisted by the Free Syrian Army (FSA), who surrendered their neighborhoods to the government in exchange for amnesty and peace.
