Takfiris created to boost Israel’s status in region: Analyst

371979_Iraq-ISILThe ongoing atrocities by the ISIL Takfiri militants in Iraq and Syria fall within the framework of a wider plan for protecting and bolstering Israel, an analyst tells Press TV.

“Whether it is attacks on Gaza or the destruction of the rest of the Middle East including these terrorists operating in Syria…the bottom line…is…the raising of it [Israel] up as an uncontested power…throughout the world,” Mark Glenn told Press TV in an interview.

Glenn was analyzing the ISIL Takfiri terrorists’ reported massacre of 270 Syrian security guards and employees in the central province of Homs.

Syria has been gripped by deadly violence since March 2011. According to reports, Western powers and their regional allies – especially Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Turkey – are supporting the militants operating inside Syria.

Glenn said the ISIL’s savagery is a continuation of Israel’s long-time brutalities against beleaguered Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

“We need to just see what is going on in Syria as a mere extension of what is going on in Gaza, what is taking place in Iraq over the last twenty years and the book from…which this is being read…[is] known as Israel,” he said.

The crisis in Iraq escalated after the ISIL terrorists took control of Mosul, Iraq’s second largest city, in a lightning advance on June 10. The terrorists have since taken control of large chunks of Iraq.

The analyst said the US, Britain and Israel have been financing and arming the ISIL Takfiris whom he described as “wild animals.”

“This is not something that the United States or the West or Israel is going to give up on any time since they have invested too much in this,” said Glenn.

Israel is pushing ahead with its aggression on Palestinians in Gaza. At least, 340 people are confirmed dead and nearly 2,400 more injured since Tel Aviv unleashed its offensive 12 days ago.
