Saudi regime conspiring against Syria – detainee

Certain Saudi authorities seek to topple the Syrian government, an arrested terrorist said on Sunday.

Syrian television broadcast confessions late Saturday by several detainees, arrested on chareg of terrorism.

“The terrorist group attacked the families of army personnel in the town of Saida (‘Sidon’), in Daraa, on April 29, with the aim of killing people, stealing weapons and aggressing women,” SANA reported.

The TV showed three men who confessed they received money and bought weapons from “external sides” and tried to “exploit the protests to attack the army and the security forces.”

Ahmad Mohammad Ayyash (35), the leader of a terrorist group in Syria, is a university student who has studied at Syrian Theology College. He confessed to being supported by a man named Saud al-Otaibi, when he went to Saudi Arabia for a job.

“Saud al-Otaibi encouraged me to return to Syria and help topple the Syrian regime who called it atheist. He gave me 10,000 US dollars to prepare weapons and armed men,” Ayyash added.

He said,” Several persons and I traveled to Saida in Darra and took part in a peaceful demonstration but our main goal was to attack into Army residences.”

He said he intended to target Army personnel and supporters of the Syrian government but he added that their main goal was to plunder ammunition depots of the Army and take their women and children as hostages.
