MI6 aims to rip Iran subsidy plan

Britain’s spying apparatus MI6 has instructed UK-based Persian TV channels including BBC Persian to use Iran’s “subsidy cut plan” instead of “targeted subsidy plan” in their news bulletins.

The MI6 introduced an agenda to anti-Iranian Persian TVs instructing them to use “subsidy cut plan” rather than “targeted subsidy plan” when referring to the Iranian government’s plans to overhaul the country’s economy in their news bulletins.

The MI6 agenda aims at sabotaging the project by instigating Iranian nation to revolt against the government’s policies.

The exact implementation of these instructions is so seriously pursued that the Persian TVs replace “subsidy cut plan” with “targeted subsidy plan” even when they directly quote from Iranian officials’ interviews, according to sources familiar with the issue.

The targeted subsidy plan, which was approved by the Iranian lawmakers on January 5, 2010, is tipped as one of the key achievements in the country’s economic history.

The plan aims at replacing the government’s subsidies on food and energy with targeted social assistance, in accordance with Five Year Economic Development Plan and moving towards free market prices in a 5-year period.

The officials say the targeted subsidy plan was part of the government’s efforts to administer justice across the country. They have also appreciated the Iranian nation for their good cooperation in the first phase of the implementation of this national project, saying “there is no room for negative campaign against it.”
