No letter to Morsi by Supreme Leader

No letter to Morsi by Supreme Leader
The head of the Iranian Interests Section in Cairo has denied the rumors by some media that Supreme Leader had sent a letter to Egypt’s president.
Mojtaba Amani issued a statement on Monday and denied rumors that Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei had sent a letter to Mohamed Morsi, advising him to adopt Velayat-e Faqih (Rule of the Exegete of Scriptures) as state system in Egypt.

Amani added that “the rumors of Ayatollah Khamenei sending a letter to Mohamed Morsi is something completely distorted. The Supreme Leader had not sent such a letter, however there were 17 Iranian scholars, including a number of the university chancellors and professors, who sent a letter to Morsi, and the letter was a personal and unofficial letter.

Amani said that “in order not to get trapped in distorted media, I would like to refer you to the original letter, so you will see that the letter is not signed by Supreme Leader.”

He also emphasized that “it is possible for one country to use other country’s experience, but every country has its challenges and will be different from other countries’.
