No religious clash stands among Islamic denominations
“There stand no religious conflict in the Islamic World,” said Head of the General Assembly of Ahlul Bayt (AS).

“There stand no religious conflict and clash in the Islamic World and those who massacre people are not Muslim,” said Head of the General Assembly of Ahlul Bayt (AS), Hojjatol Islam Val Moslemin Muhammad Hasan Akhtari, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).

The 26th International Muslim Unity conference to be held in the upcoming days (Jan 27-28, 2012) and in the presence of Islamic, scientific and political faces.

Regarding this welcomed event, Taqrib News Reporter interviewed with Head of the General Assembly of Ahlul Bayt (AS), Hojjatol Islam Val Moslemin Muhammad Hasan Akhtari.

The text of the foresaid interview is as following:

Q. Regarding your continuous presence in Muslim Unity Conference held in previous years up to here, how much, do you think, the conference was effective in transferring the culture of unity from the Scholars’ gathering to different stratums of the society?

A: I believe that this conference could expand idea of unity among Muslims from different Islamic denominations. Thirty years ago when we wanted to hold to the unity conference, we faced many problems and hardships. But nowadays everything has been altered and everyone supports holding the conference and believes in it.

Holding these meeting, publishing books compiled in this arena and delivering lectures in these conferences could uplift unity and stand eschew dispersion among Muslims.

Nowadays the issue of unity is not a topic proposed just among a few religious scholars. Today we know many Muftis who announce and accentuate the necessity of unity and rapprochement.

Take the Mufti of Sudan, Muhammad Othman, for instance who spotlighted the necessity and paramount importance of unity between Shia and Sunni people. The same story is true about other Muftis from other countries.

Currently all the Friday Prayer Leaders in difference countries propose and deal with the issue of unity and in quite a few universities, unity-related meeting held. Given that, the issue of unity has been extended to the society.

At this time there stand many unity centers in Muslim countries such as gathering of Scholars in Lebanon and in other countries.

Q: Regarding the present milieu of the Islamic World and also the current chaos and religious showdown in some Muslim countries such as Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq and etc., do you think the 26th Intl conference of unity can be effective in solving the foresaid chaos?

A: The title you utilized is not correct, there stand, actually, no religious conflict in Pakistan, Iraq, Syria or other Islamic countries.

There exists no showdown between Shia and Sunni people, inasmuch as Muslims from different Islamic denominations are in the same page, living with each other without any problem.

We believe that the recent extremist measures and all the bigotry ideas stemmed from the malignant schemes designed by the arrogant world and above all the U.S with its lap dogs in Muslim societies. Regarding the foresaid line we can come up with this fact that there exist not clash and conflict among Muslims.

To me, those perpetrate extremist measures are not Muslims and are not abide by the Islamic teachings and instructions. Since no religious scholar can give the fiat of killing people without any reason.

The divine religion, obviously enough, respects all the rights of human being and those who massacre people and commit violent measures are not Muslims and do not believe in God and the holy book of Quran.
