Syrian Army, Hezbollah attempt to advance in southwest Aleppo before massive offensive

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA), alongside Hezbollah, launched a fresh assault at the Aqrab area of southwest Aleppo this morning after taking a brief hiatus this past weekend.

The Syrian Armed Forces and Hezbollah began their assault by firing several artillery shells and rockets towards the enemy defenses, paving the way for their eventual ground assault at the northern axis of the Aqrab area.

According to a military source in Aleppo, no gains have been made thus far; however, the attack also started one hour ago.

is a prelude to the upcoming Syrian Arab Army offensive that will target several axes across the province, the military source added.
