Israeli media: Israeli engineer detained over attempting to provide Iran with sensitive information regarding the Dimona nuclear facility
Israeli authorities have reportedly arraigned an engineer from Israel, accusing him of establishing contact with Iranian intelligence and proposing to sell sensitive information. The claims allegedly include an offer to provide access to a nuclear research facility.

Doron Bokobza, a 29-year-old engineer from Be’er Sheva in the southern region, has been formally charged with communicating with a foreign agent and relaying sensitive information to Iran, according to charges filed on March 2. Bokobza is an employee at Haifa Chemicals South, and the allegations raise significant concerns regarding national security.
Investigators have indicated that Bokobza maintained communication with elements of Iranian intelligence over the course of several months via the Telegram messaging application.
Between December of the previous year and his arrest in February, he is accused of undertaking several assignments on behalf of his Iranian handler.
He further asserted that he possessed access to the Negev Nuclear Research Center and allegedly disclosed information regarding the facility’s operations.
Authorities assert that Bokobza knowingly established contact, fully cognizant that he was interacting with operatives of Iranian intelligence.
An Israeli technician was taken into custody last month after a collaborative investigation conducted by the country’s internal security agency, Shin Bet, along with local police authorities.
According to reports, Bokobza has admitted to taking photographs of sensitive facilities and sharing the information for a financial fee.
