Locals of towns overrun by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in the eastern province of Deir Ezzor engaged in a new round of clashes with the terrorist organization’s members.
The recent clashes, SANA reported, broke out between residents of Sbeikhan, al-Dweir and al-Keshkiyeh in al-Mayadeen and al-Bukamal and ISIS terrorists after three more civilians from al-Sh’eitat tribe were executed.
The residents attacked ISIS gatherings and clashed with them following the execution, which was carried out at Sbeikhan roundabout, SANA reporter in Deir Ezzor said.
Three days ago, six civilians from Sbeikhan town were killed, mutilated and crucified by ISIS members at al-Tayara roundabout.
Earlier, locals of Sbeihan and al-Dweir clashed with ISIS terrorists and blew up an SUV equipped with a heavy machine gun belonging to the organization, killing 7 terrorists aboard it. The clashes followed ISIS capture of a number of women from the two towns.
The obscurantist approach of ISIS and its repeated atrocities against civilians in the areas where its members are operating have drawn mounting exasperation and rage from the locals, who are being “punished” and killed on charges of riddah (apostasy) and fighting the ISIS organization.
