Syria recaptures strategic northern highway and surrounding areas; eliminates numerous terrorists

The Syrian military has successfully regained control of a strategic highway near the northern city of Hama, along with all surrounding towns and villages. In the course of these operations, dozens of Takfiri fighters, who were attempting to facilitate the resurgence of terrorism in the region's northern areas, were reportedly neutralized.

According to reports from Syrian media outlets on Monday, military forces successfully reclaimed control of the highway connecting Mahardeh and Suqaylabiyah in the vicinity of Hama. This strategic operation included the recapture of all nearby towns and villages, such as Karnaz, Tal Malah, al-Jalamah, Jabbin, Hayalin, and Sheikh Hadid.

In addition, forces successfully regained control of several towns that had briefly been seized by Takfiri militants.

In a series of operations conducted in the outskirts of Hama and the countrysides of Aleppo and Idlib, security forces have successfully neutralized approximately 80 terrorists, among them key figures of the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) Takfiri group.

Syria’s state television reported earlier that approximately 320 militants have been eliminated in rural areas surrounding three cities, following coordinated military operations conducted by Syrian forces in collaboration with their Russian counterparts.

Monday’s airstrikes resulted in the destruction of 12 strategic sites and ammunition depots utilized by the terrorist groups, and further led to the downing of one of their drones.

Local sources report that approximately 15,000 volunteers have enlisted in the Syrian army in Hama in a matter of hours.

Reports indicate that the military is receiving reinforcements from regional resistance and anti-terror fighters, with contributions coming from neighboring Iraq.

Russian sources have reported that the Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) group is allegedly preparing to release toxic substances in the regions of Aleppo and Idlib. This tactic is reminiscent of incidents following the rise of Takfiri terrorism in Syria in 2014, which were used by Western powers, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and France, as justification for launching significant and lethal missile strikes against Syria on multiple occasions.

According to sources, materials have been transported to Aleppo and Idlib via ambulances operated by the White Helmets, an organization reportedly supported by Western countries and Israel, and often referred to as an aid group.

Earlier this week, Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) forces reportedly seized control of several government-held territories in northern Syria, resulting in the deaths of numerous Syrian soldiers.

Subsequently, reports emerged indicating that the Syrian army successfully countered significant terrorist activities in Aleppo Province with a preemptive strike.

Following a successful counterterrorism operation by the Syrian military, terrorist groups and their Western allies initiated a widespread media campaign aimed at discrediting the Syrian forces. This campaign included reports suggesting that Syrian troops had retreated from the rural areas of Hama.

The Syrian military has rejected recent reports, labeling them as components of a “media war” intended to undermine and misrepresent Damascus’ efforts in combating terrorism.
