Over 150 Saudi-Led Forces Killed in Yemeni Army’s Missile Attack near Bab al-Mandeb

The Saudi-led forces sustained heavy casualties in the Yemeni army’s missile attack on the Bab al-Mandeb region in Southwestern Yemen.

The Yemeni forces missiles hit the Saudi-led coalition’s command headquarters in Sha’ab al-Jen region near Bab al-Mandeb, killing over 150 coalition servicemen, including 23 Saudi troops, 9 UAE officers and soldiers, seven Moroccan officers and 42 Blackwater troops.

It said that the burnt bodies of 146 Saudi-led military troops have been transferred to the city of Aden and Saudi Arabia has sent a warship to Ta’iz to transfer the wounded from Bab al-Mandeb region.

Earlier today, the United Arab Emirates acknowledged that two of its army colonels were killed in the attack.

Colonel Sultan Mohammed bin Havidan al-Kotobi was among the over 150 Saudi-led troops killed in the Yemeni forces’ attack on the coalition’s military positions in the Southwestern Yemen.

The UAE armed forces also acknowledged that another army high-ranking officer named Colonel Sultan Mohamed Ali al-Kotobi was killed in the province of Ta’iz in Yemen on Sunday.

Meantime, Saudi army’s Colonel Abdullah al-Sahyan was killed in Yemeni missile attack near Al-Amri military base in Bab al-Mandeb region.

Al-Sahyan succumbed to his injuries before a Saudi-led coalition helicopter could transfer him to a nearby hospital.
