Over 500 Israeli armored vehicles damaged in Gaza war: Report

More than 500 Israeli armored vehicles have been damaged in the regime’s genocidal war against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, according to Israeli media.

Israel’s Hebrew-language Maariv daily newspaper made the announcement in a report on Friday and said dozens of Israeli armored vehicles had also been completely decommissioned and removed from service.

The report added that the Israeli military had established two logistics centers within Gaza to repair the vehicles damaged in fighting with the Palestinian resistance groups.

Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other members of his cabinet are said to have been receiving weekly updates on the status of military stocks as the regime’s brutal war on Gaza has consumed far more weapons than the Israeli occupation army had expected.

Citing an unnamed senior official of US President Joe Biden’s administration, The Washington Post reported on Wednesday that the United States has provided $6.5 billion in security assistance to Israel since the occupying regime launched its genocidal war on the Gaza Strip.

The report said almost half of the amount was provided last month alone.

Netanyahu had earlier claimed that the Biden administration was “withholding” weapons and ammunition bound for Tel Aviv.

The United States has been providing the regime with thousands of tons of military equipment since Tel Aviv launched the war in October last year.
