PA Premier resigns for unity govt.

Palestinian Authority (PA) Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah has offered his resignation to make way for a unity government.
According to Press TV, Hamdallah’s resignation came shortly after a landmark unity deal between the Palestinian factions of Hamas and Fatah.
The rival factions reached an agreement that envisaged forming an independent government of technocrats within five weeks and holding elections six months later.
A Hamas leader in the West Bank said the Gaza-based resistance movement is willing to make parallel sacrifices to show its seriousness about forming a unity government.
Sheikh Hassan Yousef told Press TV Hamas Prime Minister “Ismail Haniyeh is ready to hand in his resignation in Gaza.”
