Velayati: Assassination of Palestinian People and Fighters a Sign of Zionist Regime’s Desperation

In a statement, Ali Akbar Velayati strongly denounced the abhorrent terrorist acts perpetrated by the Zionist regime that resulted in the deaths of more than a dozen Palestinians, including three commanders of the Islamic Jihad movement, as well as women and children in the Gaza Strip.

The leaders of the Zionist regime have been exposed for their brutishness and have resorted to slaughtering Palestinians in an attempt to escape the internal crises that have afflicted all aspects of the regime – political, security, social, and economic.

Ali Akbar Velayati asserted that the assassinations of Palestinian fighters are indicative of the Israeli government’s failure and desperation, rather than a display of strength.

He emphasized that every drop of blood spilled by Palestinians and their fighters will only strengthen the tree of resistance and revolt against the occupiers in Palestine.

He declared that the Zionist regime is destined to be destroyed, and, with God’s blessing, this will happen soon.

The Secretary General of the World Assembly of Islamic Awakening has requested that Muslims, freedom-seeking individuals, governments, Islamic and international organizations, and the world community as a whole, make their opposition to the Israeli regime’s offenses against Palestinians unmistakably clear.

Since Tuesday, the Israeli regime has been carrying out consecutive aerial attacks against the besieged Palestinian territory.

At least 25 Palestinians have lost their lives and 76 have been wounded due to the continuing aggression.

Several commanders of the Islamic Jihad resistance movement, as well as civilians, were among the fatalities.

In response to the bombings, over 500 rockets have been launched by Gaza resistance fighters, resulting in 25 Israelis being injured and sirens going off in the occupied territories, including Tel Aviv.
